Job Title: Dean of the J. David Rosenberg College of Law

**Job Summary:**

The University of Kentucky invites applications for a strategic and collaborative leader with a distinguished scholarly profile to serve as the next dean of the J. David Rosenberg College of Law. The successful candidate will develop a vision for the Rosenberg College of Law and provide leadership in matters related to planning, curriculum, research and scholarship as well as the college's budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a strategic vision for the Rosenberg College of Law
  • Provide leadership in matters related to planning, curriculum, research and scholarship
  • Manage the college's budget and position it for success
  • Work collaboratively with faculty and staff to advance the goals of the Rosenberg College of Law
  • Engage with external stakeholders to build partnerships and advance the college's mission

Requirements:

  • J.D. or terminal degree in a field of study
  • Qualify for appointment at the rank of tenured, full professor in the Rosenberg College of Law
  • Significant record of leadership in a professional setting
  • Commitment to advancing the university's goal of bringing people together

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Leadership experience in the legal academy
  • Sustained record of excellence in research and scholarship, service and teaching
  • Ability to build partnerships and collaborate with external stakeholders
