Patient Care Technician

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Patient Care Tech to join our team at Cedar Park Regional Medical Center.
Job SummaryThe Patient Care Tech will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients and families in the Medical/Surgical department. This is a full-time, night shift position that requires a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and a positive work environment.
Responsibilities- Collects, reports, and documents patient data, including vital signs, intake and output, and specimens.
- Assists with patient activities and care as assigned by the Charge RN, including bathing, oral care, and linen changes.
- Provides emotional support to patients and families, and functions as an advocate to ensure their needs are met.
- Notifies the patient's nurse or Charge RN of any changes in patient condition or concerns.
- Participates in the full continuum of Core Measures and serves as a resource for unit functioning.
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of one year of hospital Med/Surg tech experience strongly preferred.
- American Heart Association (AHA) approved Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire.
- Certification from an accredited nursing assistant program (CNA) preferred.
