Job Summary:
This role is centered on the creation and implementation of comprehensive training programs for all security personnel within CommonSpirit Health. The aim is to ensure the ongoing professional development of our security staff while adhering to all relevant regulatory standards. The incumbent will facilitate the onboarding process for new hires and oversee the initial and ongoing training requirements for security personnel.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and deliver tailored training materials and exercises to enhance the knowledge and skills of the security team, fostering a culture of respect and proficiency.
2. Serve as the primary contact for inquiries related to security training and education.
3. Coordinate the onboarding process for new security officers, ensuring compliance with established protocols.
4. Maintain accurate training records and compliance documentation for auditing purposes.
5. Manage the procurement, distribution, and retirement of security uniforms and essential equipment.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field along with four years of pertinent experience is required. Alternatively, a combination of education and experience that demonstrates the necessary knowledge and abilities will be considered.

Licensure and Certification:
- Preferred certifications include International Association for Healthcare Safety and Security (IAHSS) Basic and Advanced/Supervisory certifications.
- HSS Teams Trainer or equivalent de-escalation certification is preferred.
- AVADE Handcuff, CS Gel, and shield trainer certification or an equivalent program certification is also preferred.
