Job Title: VP of Engineering and Product Development

About SixMap, Inc.

SixMap, Inc. is a leader in cybersecurity solutions, protecting large government and corporate enterprises. We're looking for an experienced Vice President of Engineering to lead our development team in building innovative cybersecurity solutions, focusing on Cloud Perimeter Security and Attack Surface Management (ASM). The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cybersecurity and strong leadership skills to drive product development from early stage through market launch.

Estimated Salary:$290,000 - $340,000 per year

Responsibilities
  • Lead and scale a small engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence
  • Develop and implement the technical strategy and roadmap for our cybersecurity product development
  • Make key architectural decisions while balancing technical debt, feature development, and market needs
  • Collaborate with product management, sales, and leadership to define and execute product vision
  • Establish engineering best practices, processes, and metrics
  • Drive recruitment, mentorship, and professional development of engineering talent
Requirements
  • Required Qualifications
    • 8+ years of engineering experience in cybersecurity product development
    • 5+ years of engineering leadership experience, including direct management of engineering teams
    • Proven track record of successfully bringing early-stage products to market
    • Deep understanding of cybersecurity landscape, threats, and solutions
    • Experience with modern development practices, tools, and methodologies
    • Strong technical architecture and system design capabilities
  • Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience in Attack Surface Management (ASM) or related domains such as Vulnerability Management and Assessment, Digital Asset Discovery and Inventory, Threat Intelligence and Exposure Management, Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM), or CNAPP
    • Expertise in technologies commonly used in ASM solutions, including Asset Discovery and Enumeration, Port Scanning and Service Identification, Web Application Security Testing, DNS Analysis and Monitoring
