Job Title: Plumbing EstimatorJob Summary

The Plumbing Estimator is responsible for developing cost estimates on small to large projects as required by client documents. Key activities include:

  • Reviewing estimates and revisions for completeness and accuracy
  • Obtaining pricing for materials
  • Informing the immediate supervisor of any observed inaccuracies or omissions in quoted items or computer database
  • Preparing plan/spec and design/build estimates and proposals
  • Operating and maintaining company computerized estimating system
  • Attending pre-bid meetings and conducting project site inspections
  • Preparing estimates for change order work for ongoing projects
  • Using Quick-pen, TSI & Revit software for takeoffs on drawings
Minimum Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 3 years of experience in estimating
  • Ability to read and understand technical specifications, construction plans, and contract requirements
  • Broad understanding of plumbing and medical gas construction systems
  • Skills in MS Office, Quick-pen, AutoCAD, REVIT, and FTP Sites
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Organizational and prioritization skills
