Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise staff to ensure that ordered diagnostic procedures are performed efficiently and professionally.
  • Assist with scheduling personnel to ensure adequate staff coverage.
  • Ensure that staff accurately prepares and submits required documentation in accordance with procedures and time frames.
  • Maintain the departments quality control program for radiographs and processors, resolve quality control problems as they arise.
  • Participate in the implementation of departmental policies and procedures.
  • Provide input into budget recommendations for staffing, supplies, equipment, and other operational expenses.

Requirements
  • Graduate of AMA approved School of Radiology Technology.
  • Registered Medical Sonographer or Certified MRI Technologist or ARRT Computed Tomography or ARRT Mammography or ARRT Magnetic Resonance Imagin or ARRT Nuclear Technology or ARRT Sonography or Cert Nuclear Med Tech.
  • Excellent communication skills and the capacity to interact professionally with a variety of customers, including but not limited to patients, families, co-workers, volunteers, and physicians throughout the work shift.
  • Must be compliant, with a willingness to follow all Hospital policies as well as the established practices, protocols and procedures of the position, department and applicable professional standards.

Working Conditions
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and push/pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and walk between departments.

Education and Experience
  • Graduate of AMA approved School of Radiology Technology.
  • Registered Medical Sonographer or Certified MRI Technologist or ARRT Computed Tomography or ARRT Mammography or ARRT Magnetic Resonance Imagin or ARRT Nuclear Technology or ARRT Sonography or Cert Nuclear Med Tech.
