Job Title: Bilingual Youth Specialist

Friends of Youth is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Bilingual Youth Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our residential family services division, you will provide therapeutic support and behavioral intervention to adolescent males, helping them manage their daily behaviors and achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized therapeutic support and behavioral intervention to adolescent males
  • Assist in safety planning and behavior plans, as well as facilitating groups and implementing the program's behavior management system
  • Act as a mentor for the youth, assisting program employees in providing stabilization and teaching social skills
  • Work with the Mental Health Clinician to address existing behavioral issues
  • Support the youth's progress toward goals and share updates and recommendations with the treatment team

Requirements:

  • Bilingual in English/Spanish
  • Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree in the social service field
  • One year of experience working with youth
  • Must be 21 years or older
  • Must satisfactorily pass criminal history check and tuberculosis (TB) test
  • Must have reliable transportation and a valid Washington State driver's license
