About the Practice
Join a well-established private practice affiliated with a prominent medical group that has a rich history of over a century. We are in search of a fellowship-trained pediatric otolaryngologist to enhance our comprehensive service offerings. The role of complex pediatric otolaryngology is vital in the delivery of patient care at our esteemed children’s hospital, which boasts 160 beds and includes full NICU and PICU services.
Patient Care and Team Collaboration
Our pediatric patients are treated for a wide array of conditions. We have a dedicated aerodigestive team that includes specialists in gastroenterology, pulmonology, genetics, and speech-language pathology, who meet regularly to provide coordinated care for the most intricate cases.
Facility Overview
The children’s hospital is connected to a larger medical center that has over 600 additional beds for adult patients and offers level II trauma services to the entire region. While the primary focus of this position is on complex pediatric otolaryngology, candidates can also expect to engage in general outpatient pediatric otolaryngology within our Ambulatory Surgery Center.
Team Composition
Our ENT group comprises approximately 10 otolaryngologists, including subspecialists in head and neck/microvascular surgery, rhinology/anterior skull base, and pediatrics, alongside 3 midlevel providers and 7 audiologists. The call schedule is approximately 1 in 10, without facial trauma obligations.
Academic Affiliations
Most of our physicians hold academic positions with leading universities, providing opportunities for teaching and mentorship to medical students who complete their education in our region.
Compensation and Benefits
The starting salary for this position is competitive, supplemented by a bonus program. Additionally, there is no state income tax, and comprehensive benefits are included. Opportunities for partnership are considered after one year of employment, typically occurring within two years.
Community and Lifestyle
Located in a vibrant area, our practice serves a metropolitan population of 600,000, with a wider geographic catchment of about 2 million. The cost of living remains reasonable compared to larger metropolitan areas. Many of our physicians enjoy access to recreational properties and outdoor activities, including skiing, fishing, cycling, and hiking, all within a short commute to our office.
