Substance Abuse Counselor

At Crossroads Treatment Centers, we are dedicated to providing exceptional care to individuals struggling with substance use disorder. As a Substance Abuse Counselor, you will play a vital role in our team's mission to support patients' medical and personal recoveries.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide individual counseling to patients with complex needs
• Conduct clinical assessments to determine treatment requirements
• Design and update patient treatment plans, including care coordination and referrals
• Manage a caseload and ensure compliance with clinical treatment requirements
• Collaborate with nurses and providers to provide holistic treatment services
Work Environment:
Our clinical team enjoys an early morning schedule with early afternoon out times. Participation in our Saturday rotation is expected, with the frequency determined by the current staff count. Expected hours for this role are 37-40 hours per week.
Requirements:
• General experience working with underserved populations in a clinical setting
• Lived addiction experience is a plus
• No legal impediments to serving in a licensed opiate treatment program
Education and Certifications:
• Bachelor's degree in human services or a related field
• Certified/licensed in addiction counseling in the state of SC is preferred
