**Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Care Professional to join our team at the South Carolina Department of Mental Health. **Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide therapeutic care and assistance to patients with mental illnesses, substance abuse, and behavioral challenges.
  • Work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to ensure safe and effective patient care.
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADL) and provide basic care as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and therapeutic environment by being productively occupied at all times.

**Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent and be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish are a plus. You must also be able to work beyond scheduled hours as required to meet safe staffing standards and regulatory requirements.

**Benefits:

We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, long-term disability, and life insurance. Additionally, you will receive 15 days of annual leave accrual per year, 15 days of sick leave per year, and 13 paid holidays.

**Estimated Salary:** $35,000 - $45,000 per year, based on location and experience.
