Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Genesis HealthCare in Las Cruces, New Mexico. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary and opportunities for growth and development.

About the Job

This role involves delivering high-quality nursing care to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing patient conditions, administering medications, and providing support to patients and their families. You will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure that our patients receive comprehensive and compassionate care.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be required to maintain current BLS/CPR certification and adhere to all relevant laws and regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients/residents to collect data, observe conditions, and report changes in condition.
  • Contribute to nursing assessments and care planning.
  • Administer medications and perform treatments per physician orders.
  • Supervise and monitor patient care provided by unlicensed staff.

Requirements
  • Must be a graduate of an approved school for practical or vocational nursing.
  • Must be currently licensed by the State Board of Nursing or pending licensed practical nurse licensure.
  • Must maintain current BLS/CPR certification if employed at a skilled nursing center or as required by the state of practice if an assisted living facility.
