Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team at Community Action of South Texas. As a key member of our dental team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and promoting oral health in our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough dental hygiene treatments, including scaling and polishing teeth, and applying fluoride treatments.
  • Review patient health history, dental charting, and oral analysis to develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Expose, process, and interpret dental x-rays to diagnose and treat oral health issues.
  • Provide non-surgical treatment of periodontal disease and apply therapeutic agents as needed.
  • Teach patients proper oral hygiene techniques and counsel them on disease control and nutrition.
  • Collaborate with other dental professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure to practice as a Registered Dental Hygienist in the State of Texas.
  • Valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and criminal history background check.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) proficiency.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of primary dental care and public health principles.
