Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team at Community Action Corporation of South Texas (CACOST). As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough oral health assessments and develop personalized treatment plans for patients.
  • Provide routine cleanings, including scaling and polishing of teeth, and apply fluoride treatments as needed.
  • Examine patients' teeth and gums to identify any signs of disease or other oral health issues.
  • Develop and implement individualized oral hygiene programs for patients, including education on proper brushing and flossing techniques.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including treatment plans and progress notes.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in dental hygiene and public health principles and practices.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in dental hygiene from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure to practice as a dental hygienist in the state of Texas.
  • Valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and a criminal history background check.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
