Instructional Support Technician II

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Instructional Support Technician II to join our team in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at San Diego State University. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive support services to various upper and lower division laboratory courses in chemistry, ensuring a seamless learning experience for our students.
Key Responsibilities- Provide materials, supplies, equipment, and logistical support for laboratory courses
- Collect and store hazardous waste, maintaining accurate inventory records and databases
- Assist in coordinating the activities of Teaching Associates, ensuring effective instruction and student engagement
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Equivalent to three years of experience providing instructional support services in a related field or discipline
- College-level degree in chemistry or a related science, or equivalent experience
- Strong knowledge of general chemical sciences and laboratory equipment
- Experience with hazardous materials, Microsoft Excel, and other relevant software
We welcome candidates with a background in stockroom operations, a college-level degree in chemistry, and general chemical sciences knowledge. Experience with laboratory equipment, hazardous materials, and Microsoft Excel is also highly valued.
