Automotive Parts Installation Specialist

Leonard Aluminum Utility Buildings, a prominent manufacturer and distributor established in the Blue Ridge foothills of North Carolina, specializes in a diverse range of products including storage buildings, trailers, and various truck accessories. We are dedicated to serving our residential, commercial, fleet, and government clients through numerous retail locations across multiple states.
Position Summary:
The Installation Technician is tasked with the comprehensive installation of a variety of aftermarket automotive components, including but not limited to truck covers, accessories, and window tints on trucks and commercial vehicles. This role is crucial in ensuring that installations meet high-quality standards and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute the installation of aftermarket automotive components on customer vehicles according to specified guidelines, including bed liners, running boards, and trailer hitches.
- Perform thorough pre- and post-installation quality checks to guarantee optimal functionality.
- Mount and balance wheels and tires, ensuring proper alignment.
- Install lighting systems to enhance vehicle visibility.
- Diagnose and resolve installation-related issues efficiently.
- Connect and wire electronic systems, including backup cameras and GPS units.
- Fabricate custom components when necessary for specialized installations.
- Collaborate with team members to adhere to installation timelines.
- Provide exceptional customer service by advising on accessory choices and installation methods.
- Maintain accurate documentation of parts used, labor hours, and special instructions for both customer and company records.
- Stay informed about the latest trends and techniques in vehicle installations.
- Ensure a clean and organized workspace, stocked with necessary tools and supplies.
- Conduct routine maintenance on tools and equipment to uphold operational efficiency.
- Adhere to all safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment.

Qualifications:
- Must successfully pass a drug test and background check.

- Experience with spray-in bed liners is advantageous.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Proficient in using hand tools and automotive machinery.
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational certification preferred.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift heavy objects, up to 50 pounds.
- Physical stamina to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
- Manual dexterity for precise installation tasks.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions.
