Key Responsibilities- Medication Preparation and Dispensing: Prepare and dispense medications, surgical kits, and other medical supplies to nursing units and automated dispensing cabinets.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory levels, rotate stock, and check for expired medications.
- Ordering and Receiving: Assist in ordering, receiving, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals and supplies.
- Quality Control: Perform unit inspections and emergency cart checks to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate logs, records, and other required documentation.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Licensure: Pharmacy Technician License (IDFPR) and Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification through PTCB or NHA required for all licensed after 2008.
