The Clinical Nurse in the Intermediate Care Unit plays a vital role in a collaborative setting at Trinity Health, delivering exceptional patient care as part of a multidisciplinary team focused on evidence-based practices and personalized patient management.

A Clinical Nurse is expected to enhance all facets of the patient experience.

Key Responsibilities:
*The Intermediate Care Unit is a 28-bed facility that provides care for patients with acute pulmonary, medical, surgical, and cardiac conditions.

This unit operates as a TogetherTeam unit, collaborating with virtual nursing staff.

  • Under minimal supervision, the Clinical Nurse is accountable for patient assessments, including the development, evaluation, and modification of care plans. The nurse interprets and executes complex patient care procedures specific to their expertise.
  • Nurses are integral members of both the Care Team and Support Team, responsible for achieving patient outcomes as outlined in the care pathway.
  • The Clinical Nurse is a professional caregiver who takes responsibility and accountability for the care provided to a designated group of patients during a specified timeframe.
  • The nurse delivers care through therapeutic engagement, the nursing process, the environment/technology, and collaboration with other healthcare professionals, adhering to established standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia.
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing education program recognized by the Board of Nursing or deemed substantially equivalent to Georgia's programs.
  • Successful completion of a refresher course within the last 6 months if nursing practice has not occurred in the past 5 years.
  • Previous experience is preferred.
