POSITION OVERVIEW

The Head of Financial Systems and Analysis plays a crucial role in delivering financial insights and systems support to the Enterprise division within our Financial Planning and Analysis team. This role is pivotal in addressing the Enterprise function's ongoing data requirements, including data integration and extraction from our financial systems (Workday and Adaptive), management of historical financial records, and conducting ad hoc data analysis for the Financial Planning and Analysis team members. Additionally, this position oversees our data dashboards, ensuring regular updates in collaboration with the Senior Managing Director of Enterprise Planning and Analysis, and assists in the examination of intricate, multi-cost center grants.

This individual will also provide essential financial systems administration, which includes managing security protocols and designing, testing, and implementing planning templates, processes, and reports. A commitment to racial equity and belonging is integral to this role, as it involves ensuring that financial strategies and decision-making processes are rooted in equity, fostering relationships across diverse perspectives, and enhancing our impact within the communities we serve.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Enterprise Financial Analysis (60%)

  • Oversee regular data requirements to support the financial functions of FP&A.
  • Manage data dashboards that necessitate consistent updates.
  • Maintain historical financial data records.
  • Assist the Senior Managing Director of FP&A in analyzing complex, multi-cost center grants.

Financial Systems Administration (30%)

  • Administer financial systems, including assessing, designing, testing, and deploying new planning templates, processes, and reports for the FP&A team.

Team Engagement (10%)

  • Engage in team discussions and ongoing learning regarding team culture, core values, and our dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusiveness to promote racial equity collectively.
  • Actively participate in the Finance community through monthly meetings, team-building activities, and professional development opportunities.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

Experience

  • Strong background in financial planning and analysis and/or finance systems is highly preferred.
  • Experience in supporting complex and high-stakes financial processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively across diverse lines of difference.

Work Requirements

  • Willingness to work occasional weekends or evenings during peak periods.
  • Ability to travel for in-person meetings up to 3-4 times annually.

Skills

  • Proficiency in Excel, financial management software (such as Workday and Adaptive Planning), and related tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
