Global Head of Media Relations and Financial Communications Strategist

The Global Head of Media Relations and Financial Communications will lead the development and deployment of communications strategies globally for two separate and important disciplines. This role requires an experienced media relations and financial communications leader with a strong track record in the financial services sector, preferably in the insurance sector.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute a media relations agenda that aligns with the company's overall objectives and supports the senior executive team.
- Oversee media relations efforts globally, coordinating and overseeing media efforts across regions, businesses, and functions.
- Manage financial communications for quarterly earnings and other public company financial announcements, supporting the writing of components of the annual report and other investor-related corporate communications materials.
- Ensure the communications, marketing, and investor relations strategy is closely aligned, driving collaboration and integration across the broader organization to maximize premium and mitigate reputational risks.
- Improve and increase adoption of established processes and procedures internally and with outside vendors, harnessing digital tools and platforms to ensure consistency on a global scale.
- Ensure the reputation of the firm and its brand is always of utmost importance, with media experts fully coached and prepared for each media interaction.
- Identify premium speaking opportunities for senior leaders.
- Stay apprised of news and trends that impact the insurance/financial services industry and topics of importance to the company, actively monitoring both existing and emerging issues that could impact brand and developing strategies for addressing each issue.
- Build best practices to ensure a consistent approach for managing media events, press releases, launches, road shows, and promoting products and services.
- Effectively position the executive leadership team as thought leaders and spokespeople on important topics that are strategic priorities.
- Demonstrate commercial acumen and an ability to build, evaluate, and maintain relationships with key strategic partners in and around the media.
- A minimum of 15 years of combined experience in corporate communications, either in a corporate communications/media relations role or at an agency with a specialization in financial services, insurance.
- A bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
- Advanced degree is highly desirable but not required.
- Strong computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent writing and editing skills.
- Strong project management skills and experience.
- Strong critical and strategic thinking skills.
Chubb offers a comprehensive benefits package, including a competitive salary range of $165,000 to $280,500, depending on skills and experience. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program. The company is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applications from diverse candidates.
