This role is structured as a contract-to-hire opportunity, ensuring a pathway to a permanent position based on performance metrics.

As part of Task Order 5 under the Engineering and Technical Support Services contract, the selected civil engineering professional will engage in various responsibilities including:

  • Conducting requirements planning and overseeing large-scale third-party designs.
  • Managing internal project designs and providing construction oversight.
  • Facilitating operational start-up activities.

The role requires a thorough understanding of relevant construction codes and standards, ensuring compliance with company policies. Responsibilities also encompass:

  • Identifying applicable code sections for specific facility projects.
  • Advising cross-functional teams, including engineers, architects, and operations specialists, on code applications.
  • Reviewing third-party designs to minimize disruptions and mitigate risks of property loss and waste.
  • Implementing quality assurance measures through document reviews, inspections, and witnessing system tests.

This position primarily requires onsite presence, with some potential for hybrid work arrangements.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or successful completion of the FE exam.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in facilities design and construction engineering.
  • Familiarity with design-bid-build and design-build project delivery methods.
  • Proven ability to translate customer requirements into design solutions with accurate cost justifications.
  • Experience in site utilities, site design, pavement design, and building construction.
  • Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications.
  • Capability to review and enhance existing engineering standards and practices.
  • Strong coordination skills across engineering, architecture, and construction disciplines.
  • Ability to work a 9/80 schedule.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
