Project Engineer

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our Civil/Site team in our Clinton, NJ office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply advanced knowledge of land development principles and practices to design complete projects, systems, components, or processes.
  • Evaluate, select, and adapt standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to ensure project success.
  • Prepare advanced general and basic non-routine engineering designs and technical data for completion and accuracy.
  • Develop complete project documents, including scopes of work, budgets, and schedule assignments.
  • Analyze and interpret data, formulate, and solve complex problems.
  • Provide direction to engineers, technicians, and administrative staff to ensure project goals are met.
  • Plan and coordinate detailed aspects of engineering work, including field investigations and site visits as needed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification preferred.
  • Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D and other related software packages.
  • Excellent computer skills, knowledge, and acumen, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to effectively work as part of a team, collaborate, contribute, and respect others.
  • Ability to learn and apply technical skills and knowledge.
  • Advanced investigative, analytical, and research skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written, for client, contractor, and co-worker interactions.
