Position Overview:
Lockheed Martin Corporation is seeking experienced casualty insurance professionals to take on a pivotal role in leading our casualty programs. This position offers the opportunity to engage in challenging projects within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
This leadership position entails overseeing Lockheed Martin's domestic and international casualty insurance initiatives, which encompass various lines such as Automobile Liability, Commercial General Liability, Errors and Omissions Liability, Cyber Liability, and select Workers Compensation programs.
- Manage the formulation, execution, and oversight of casualty and property-loss insurance programs.
- Coordinate insurance renewals, including data collection, application preparation, underwriting submissions, and renewal presentations.
- Facilitate negotiations with insurance carriers and prepare comprehensive renewal proposals for management review.
- Ensure compliance with negotiated policy terms and prepare necessary communications for business units.
- Oversee claims reporting and adjustments, ensuring adherence to policy reporting requirements and legal standards.
- Develop performance metrics for all parties involved in the claims process and negotiate contracts with service providers.
- Support the Missiles & Fire Control business area by identifying risks through contract reviews and developing risk management strategies.
- Assist in M&A activities as required and respond to ongoing risk management needs of business units.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in corporate risk management, insurance brokerage, or insurance operations.
- Strong understanding of Property/Casualty insurance concepts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven knowledge of the insurance industry and demonstrated business acumen.
- Experience with financial modeling to address challenges.
Preferred Skills:
- 15 years of experience in corporate risk management or related fields.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree, along with ARM or CPCU certifications.
- Expertise in Casualty insurance and Workers Compensation, including claims management.
- Familiarity with U.S. Government contracting practices.
- Strong project management skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
