We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Meat Department Supervisor to join our team at Family Fare. As a key member of our store operations team, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day activities of the meat department, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our store meets the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and maintain inventory levels, ensuring that products are fresh and of high quality.
- Train and develop a team of meat department associates, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet company standards and goals.
- Implement and maintain work schedules, labor control, and payroll expense for the department.
- Develop and monitor department goals, forecasts, and key performance indicators.
- Ensure that all food safety and safety guidelines are followed and maintained throughout the store.
- Collaborate with other store departments to achieve company goals and objectives.
- High school graduate or equivalent required; two years of retail experience preferred.
- One year of supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication, and bookkeeping skills.
- Good organization, prioritization, decision-making, problem-solving, and conflict management skills.
- Strong leadership abilities with capability to work in a hands-on environment.
- Good strategic planning and business acumen skills.
- Good knowledge of retail store operations and management systems.
