Position Overview

The Patient Registration Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the licensed nursing staff.

This position is responsible for handling various routine tasks, enabling the licensed nurse to concentrate on the essential professional and technical aspects of patient care.

The Specialist adheres to the policies and procedures established by Steele Memorial Medical Center and the nursing department.

Key Responsibilities

1. Efficiently manages and organizes patient appointments.

2. Welcomes, checks in, and guides patients upon their arrival at the facility; handles incoming calls with professionalism, ensuring proper routing; registers patients in specialized outpatient areas; performs cashiering responsibilities; monitors patient interactions, cancellations, and no-show appointments.

3. Accurately inputs and updates patient data as necessary.

4. Assists with various assigned tasks and demonstrates flexibility in scheduling.

5. Manages the referral workflow and coordinates appointments for approved patients.

Qualifications

Completion of an accredited Nursing Assistant program is required.
