Exercise Physiologist

We are seeking an experienced Exercise Physiologist to join our Cardiac Rehabilitation team at Ascension Saint Thomas. As an Exercise Physiologist, you will be responsible for implementing and supervising physical exercise programs for patients, providing patient testing and assessment, and planning and teaching exercise therapy.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized exercise programs for patients with cardiovascular disease.
- Conduct patient assessments and testing to determine exercise readiness and progress.
- Teach patients and their families about exercise techniques and provide education on healthy lifestyle habits.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust exercise programs as needed.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records and reports of patient progress and exercise programs.
- Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related field.
- Current certification as an Exercise Physiologist (EP) or eligibility for certification.
- Experience working with patients with cardiovascular disease and in a cardiac rehabilitation setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
