Cyber Operations Analyst Job Description

Peraton is seeking a highly skilled Cyber Operations Analyst to join its Federal Strategic Cyber program. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in integrating knowledge, information, and data from various partners to support national security missions.

Responsibilities:
  • Integrate data from multiple sources, including the U.S. Intelligence Community, State, local, tribal, and territorial (SLTT), the private sector, international partners, and computer network defense communities.
  • Optimize analytical activities and integrate them into Threat Hunting & CISA Operations, as well as the broader cyber community.
  • Apply knowledge of data, information, processes, organizational interactions, skills, and analytical expertise to accomplish mission needs.
  • Manage Requests for Information (RFI) and assign them to vendors for action, reviewing and consolidating responses for analysts.
  • Work with the Mission Team analysts to create and update Information Needs (IN).
  • Draft organizational documentation, such as Concept of Operations, Standard Operating Procedures, and Work Instructions.
  • Identify opportunities to increase the efficacy of cyber incident report handling and workflows.
  • Document challenges, coordinate across teams to identify opportunities for process improvement, and recommend solutions to ensure incident reporting apparatus success.
  • Develop plans to limit, mitigate, or defend against coordinated, malicious cyber operations that pose a potential risk to critical infrastructure or national interests.
  • Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and agency's satisfaction goals and objectives.
  • Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and analysts.
  • Establish measures of effectiveness for cyber plans and activities that examine current processes and prior cyber incidents for lessons learned and best practices.
  • Coordinate and facilitate internal and external partner engagements, facilitating information exchange and responding to requests for information or assistance.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Working knowledge of cyber operations theory and tactics, techniques, and procedures.
  • Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve program support deficiencies.
  • Proven ability to develop and recommend corrective actions.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Active Top Secret security clearance with eligibility to obtain SCI required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Active DHS SCI and approved EOD Suitability.
  • Experience with intrusion detection and prevention, incident response, log analysis, and monitoring.
  • Experience conducting Cyber Fusion Analysis.
  • Experience with tools and methodology related to Cyber Threat Intelligence.
  • Experience researching classified and unclassified databases.
  • Experience with intelligence Collection Management.

Target Salary Range:

$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
