Job Summary
The Technology Support Analyst will provide technical support to users within the Sheriff's Office and Detention Facility. This role will involve installing, configuring, and supporting peripheral hardware and network hardware, including servers, switches, desktop computers, laptops, printers/copiers, and structured cabling.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer domains, network user accounts, workstations, workgroups, and network security.
- Manage on-premise databases and utilize data to create reports.
- Assist with management of local SQL databases, creating Power BI dashboards, and implementing SharePoint team sites.
- Configure, create, manage, and secure servers; monitor integrity of users' data; create/manage department folders, calendars, aliases, and email groups; troubleshoot delivery/receipt of email messages; maintain spam and ATP rules.
- Monitor and manage servers in virtual center, maintain proper configurations, security controls, and authorizations, and backup; create virtual servers as requested; monitor system resources to ensure virtual machines run at optimum performance; adjust or recommend changes.
- Manage remote access; backup system, create and manage network, application, and portal access for user access; troubleshoot user issues.
- Review, plan, and evaluate systems/servers, recommend improvements, prepare project plans, provide documentation/reporting.
- Document network designs and configurations.
Requirements
- Requires an associate's degree in Computer Science or related field and four years of experience in a technical environment.
- Must have experience with configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of virtual and cloud environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Preferred experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
- Preferred experience with PowerBI and SSRS.
- Preferred experience with Microsoft Power Automation and SharePoint Administration.
- Preferred experience with FTPs and SFTPs.
