Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Systems Analyst to join our team at the Duke University School of Medicine. As a Business Systems Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the operations of the Biorepository and Precision Pathology Center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Research Program Leader, Clinical Research Team Lead, and CHTN/Collections Team Lead to develop and implement operational metric reports.
  • Design and deploy templates in systems to create reports and queries on data, ensuring required interfaces with other systems and internal and external organizations are developed and maintained.
  • Ensure data integrity by maintaining consistency and accuracy of all data collected from and passed to various sources.
  • Assist the BRPC Director and Research Program Leader in providing data used in creating the annual BRPC budget and understanding the different funding sources of the BRPC Shared Resource.
  • Coordinate and oversee implementation and management of any new shared resource financial management software in conjunction with the billing, procurement, and physical plant lead LRA.
  • Provide financial reports as requested to the BRPC Research Program Leader and BRPC Director.
  • Serve as the IT Analyst of the Southern Division of the Cooperative Human Tissue Network (CHTN), assisting the CHTN Coordinator/Collections Team Lead in development and oversight of the infrastructure required for serving as the Southern Division of CHTN.
  • Assist the BRPC Research Program Leader, Clinical Research Team Lead, and CHTN/Collections Team Lead in coordination and implementation of large BRPC projects/grants, adhering to all Duke and federal policies.
  • Under the direction of the BRPC Research Program Leader and Director, serve on the School of Medicine Biobanking Committee and perform the work of implementing within BRPC the new Biobanking Information Management System.
Requirements
  • Work requires a Bachelor's degree.
  • 3 years combined business/work analyst, software QA, or user support/training experience, OR an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
  • Strong familiarity with Excel is a must. Familiarity with pulling data from SQL & medical data is preferred.
