Appearance Standards:

Job Responsibilities

The Facilities Supervisor is tasked with overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of maintenance personnel and tradespeople during assigned shifts, focusing on corrective, emergency, and preventive maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Supervising and assigning tasks to maintenance staff, ensuring timely project completion.
  • Conducting routine inspections at various locations.
  • Preparing technical documentation and maintaining necessary logs.
  • Applying knowledge of relevant safety and environmental standards, as well as local and national codes.
  • Responding promptly to emergency situations.
  • Coordinating maintenance projects with relevant departments to minimize guest disruption.
  • Providing instruction and training to team members as needed.
  • Ensuring a clean, safe, and hazard-free work environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma; trade school certification preferred.
  • 2-3 years of supervisory experience in commercial or industrial facilities maintenance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous experience in facilities maintenance within a casino or hotel/resort setting is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid State of Florida trade license is preferred.

Work Environment:

  • Responsibilities are typically carried out in the back of house areas, which can be fast-paced and noisy. Occasional exposure to the casino floor may occur, where environmental factors such as secondhand smoke and loud noises are present.
  • Employees are frequently required to stand, walk, and lift/move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, as well as depth perception.

Native American Preference Policy:

In accordance with our policy, preference in hiring is given to Native Americans, with first preference to members of the Seminole Tribe who meet job qualifications, followed by members of other federally recognized tribes.

Employment Process:

Candidates must complete a background check to obtain gaming licensure prior to employment. This may include credit checks, criminal background checks, and drug screenings.
