Bar Supervisor Job Description

Job Summary:

The Bar Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of the bar, ensuring exceptional customer service and a seamless experience for our guests. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise bar staff and ensure excellent customer service
  • Prepare the bar for regular service and special events
  • Maintain the bar during service, serving guests and restocking supplies
  • Oversee inventory management and ordering processes
  • Communicate effectively with sales representatives and suppliers
  • Assist in preparation of the annual budget and setting sales goals
  • Generate and analyze daily and monthly financial & inventory reports

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience working as a bartender, server, or manager in a restaurant environment
  • Ability to communicate in a positive, friendly manner with patrons
  • Ability to work individually or with others in a fast-paced work environment
  • One year of customer service experience with the general public preferred
  • Must be available on weekends and nights as well as some weekdays
  • Must pass alcohol serving course within 60 days after hire
  • Must be at least 18 years of age

Working Conditions and Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • May be required to sit, stand, kneel, and move for extended periods of time
  • Facility has intermittent noise
