Plant Operator

Martin Marietta is seeking a skilled Plant Operator to join our team in Mico, TX. As a key member of our production facility, you will be responsible for assisting with various semi-skilled duties, including lubricating machinery, monitoring plant conveyors, and performing preventative maintenance.
Key Responsibilities- Proactively maintain a safe working environment and work effectively in a team setting
- Operate equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to MSHA and plant safety rules
- Perform pre-shift safety inspections and report needed repairs to supervision
- Assist with plant maintenance and repairs, and maintain good housekeeping of plant and equipment
- Perform duties with minimal supervision and assist with operation of other equipment as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent experience required
- Plant experience a plus
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends, overtime, and holidays as needed
- Must be able to read equipment operating manuals, complete pre-shift inspection reports, and read and interpret gauges
- Basic mathematical aptitude to complete daily reports
- Ability to wear all required safety equipment and communicate effectively with coworkers
