Job Summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a skilled Plant Operator to join our team in Mico, TX. As a key member of our production facility, you will be responsible for assisting with various semi-skilled duties, including lubricating machinery, monitoring plant conveyors, and performing preventative maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively maintain a safe working environment and work effectively in a team setting
  • Operate equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to MSHA and plant safety rules
  • Perform pre-shift safety inspections and report needed repairs to supervision
  • Assist with plant maintenance and repairs, and maintain good housekeeping of plant and equipment
  • Perform duties with minimal supervision and assist with operation of other equipment as needed
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience required
  • Plant experience a plus
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends, overtime, and holidays as needed
  • Must be able to read equipment operating manuals, complete pre-shift inspection reports, and read and interpret gauges
  • Basic mathematical aptitude to complete daily reports
  • Ability to wear all required safety equipment and communicate effectively with coworkers
