Vulcan Materials Company is a leading producer of construction aggregates and a major producer of aggregates-based construction materials. As a Plant Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • 40%: Conduct on-site maintenance evaluations to identify areas for improvement.
  • 30%: Provide technical training to maintenance personnel to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • 20%: Coordinate with Operations, Central Services, and Engineering teams to schedule maintenance and repairs.
  • 10%: Manage and analyze departmental budgets and costs.
What You'll Achieve:
  • Promote a Culture of Safety: Prioritize safety for yourself and others to ensure zero accidents and compliance with Vulcan policies.
  • Organize and Plan Maintenance: Schedule daily maintenance functions to optimize performance and utilization of plant, equipment, and personnel.
  • Manage Employee Relations: Provide strong leadership, training, and supervision to maintenance employees to support operational functions.
  • Monitor Processes and Materials: Analyze production to ensure quality and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain Compliance: Ensure maintenance teams adhere to Vulcan's safety, operations, and environmental policies.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: Previous experience in managing and supervising maintenance and production employees in aggregate, sand/gravel, or asphalt plant operations.
  • Leadership and Management Skills: Provide strong leadership and mentorship to employees to motivate and maintain interpersonal relationships.
  • Operational Knowledge: Demonstrate knowledge of rock crushing equipment, MSHA regulations, engineering principles, and project management skills.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Form strong social relationships and effectively communicate with employees and stakeholders.
  • Financial Knowledge: Lead financial performance to established targets and meet or exceed performance goals.
