Lead RFIC Designer

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead RFIC Designer to join our Mars mission electronics team at SpaceX. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-performance RFIC systems that will enable human life on Mars.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and develop RFIC systems from scratch, working closely with system architects and engineers to ensure seamless integration with other components.
- Derive specifications for RFIC subsystems and circuits, utilizing advanced simulation tools such as ADS, Spectre, HFSS, or Momentum.
- Develop RF/Microwave circuits in state-of-the-art SiGe or CMOS processes, with a focus on high-frequency performance and reliability.
- Perform IC floor planning and layout, ensuring optimal circuit performance and minimal area usage.
- Evaluate and characterize prototypes of the design, using various test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, vector signal analyzers, and network analyzers.
- Masters of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in RFIC design, simulation, and development.
- Strong understanding of digital communication systems, spread spectrum techniques, and modulation types such as QPSK, APSK, and QAM.
- Experience with radio-related test equipment and characterization of radio performance in microwave frequencies.
- Competitive salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience.
