Job Description

VetJobs is seeking a highly motivated Logistics Assistant to join our team. As a Logistics Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of customer orders.

About the Role:

  • Assist Drivers in delivering customer orders and loading/unloading product.
  • Deliver customer orders using a company van or pickup truck under 10,000 GVW.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries and assist with data entry as needed.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One year of experience performing similar tasks or equivalent combination of education/training/experience.
  • Valid driver's license required.

Working Conditions:

The Logistics Assistant will work in a fast-paced environment and be required to lift up to 100 pounds frequently. Must be able to climb up and down into cab, twist torso for 360 degree visibility, use arms to operate controls, etc.

Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read and understand maps, routes, road signs.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to read and understand machine and equipment diagrams and system schematics.
  • Knowledgeable of escort service regulations.
  • Knowledge of basic math and measurement skills.
  • Knowledge of and ability to use motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment.
