Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Warehouse Operations Specialist to join our team at Covenant Logistics. As an Inventory Management Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our distribution center.

The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform Cycle Counts: Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
  • Process Damages: Handle damaged or defective products, following established procedures to minimize losses.
  • Inbound Discrepancy Resolution: Investigate and resolve issues related to incoming shipments, collaborating with the Inventory Control Supervisor or Manager as needed.
  • Assist Operators with System Issues: Provide support to warehouse staff members who encounter technical difficulties with our systems.
  • Annual Physical Inventory Preparation: Assist with the annual physical count of inventory, ensuring that all items are accurately recorded and accounted for.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • SAP Knowledge: Familiarity with SAP software or ability to learn it quickly.
  • HighJump Warehouse Advantage System: Knowledge of or ability to learn this system and customer operating systems.
  • Microsoft Office Proficiency: Strong skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and 365.
  • Basic Computer Skills: Ability to navigate various software applications and hardware devices.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Capacity to handle recurring problems and think critically.
  • Mathematical Skills: Basic math skills for calculating inventory levels and quantities.
  • Multitasking: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy when preparing and entering information.
  • Verbal and Written Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Customer Service: Strong customer service skills, providing excellent support to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Label Reading and Number Recognition: Ability to read labels and numbers accurately.
  • Fast-Paced Environment: Willingness to work in a high-speed, fast-paced environment.
  • Independence: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Instruction Following: Ability to follow instructions from supervisors.
  • Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent required; one year of previous warehouse administrative experience preferred.
  • Forklift Experience: Forklift experience desired.
  • Leadership Experience: Leadership experience a plus.
  • WMS System Experience: Prior experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) a plus.
  • RF Unit Experience: RF unit experience also a plus.
