Maintenance Assistant Position

At Saint Francis Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, we are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Assistant to join our team. As a Maintenance Assistant, you will be responsible for providing general labor and assistance to the Maintenance Department to ensure the center's physical structure, grounds, and equipment are maintained in optimal condition.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform general maintenance work, including basic repairs and painting
  • Monitor building systems and document any issues
  • Conduct rounds of the community to ensure resident and associate safety
  • Collaborate with the Environmental Service Director to identify concerns and implement solutions
  • Perform preventative maintenance to prevent equipment failures
  • Complete work orders and train associates on safety-related matters, including fire safety
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Knowledge of maintenance and housekeeping practices and procedures
  • Able to perform physically demanding tasks, such as pushing, bending, and lifting
  • In good physical and emotional health, free of communicable diseases
  • Ability to utilize sound judgment and report unusual problems or conditions
