**Job Description:** Direct Care Advocate

We are seeking a caring and empathetic Direct Care Advocate to join our team at the Institute for Community Living. As a key member of our staff, you will provide direct care and support services to individuals with mental illness and substance abuse disorders.

About the Job:

  • Assist and instruct individuals in attending to personal hygiene, grooming, nutrition, and daily living.
  • Encourage and assist individuals to participate in physical, social, recreational, educational, and other rehabilitation goals.
  • Observe the physical environment and perform housekeeping tasks as necessary to maintain a safe and clean environment.

Requirements:

  • High school graduate or GED plus one year of related human services experience.
  • Ability to read and write at least at the secondary school level and follow written and oral instructions.
  • Valid driver's license may be required for some assignments.

Estimated Salary:** $50,000 - $65,000 per year
