As a Field Superintendent at NFC, you will oversee all administrative responsibilities linked to construction and field operations from the outset of your project.

This role entails managing a minimum of four concurrent projects focused on flooring and tile scopes of work.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Participate in post-award review meetings to gather essential project information for preconstruction planning.
  2. Collaborate with the project manager to develop a comprehensive schedule of construction activities, organizational structure, staff selection, and resource requirements.
  3. Direct and manage the overall construction project to ensure compliance with specifications and timely completion, aiming for optimal profitability.
  4. Support the assistant project manager/engineer in their tasks, ensuring timely delivery of materials and equipment.
  5. Establish a reliable subcontractor base for various scopes of work, including flooring, tile, and countertop applications.
  6. Coordinate and schedule subcontractor activities to enhance efficiency and align with project timelines.
  7. Promptly inform all supervisors and subcontractors of any changes to the construction schedule.
  8. Attend job site meetings with clients and field staff, providing regular updates to the assistant project manager/project manager regarding job progress and potential issues.
  9. Maintain daily job reports to document significant project facts, events, conditions, agreements, and approvals.
  10. Ensure strict adherence to the company's safety protocols throughout all project phases.
  11. Make informed decisions under tight deadlines.
  12. Organize personnel, tools, and equipment while managing multiple activities to achieve desired outcomes.
  13. Demonstrate strong leadership skills, effectively addressing challenges and conflicts.
  14. Commit to quality by assessing project-related processes and implementing necessary improvements to meet or exceed customer expectations.
  15. Act with integrity, supporting the company's values and maintaining a focus on fulfilling customer requirements.
