Our core services include Advocacy, Peer Counseling, Information and Referral, Independent Living Skills Training, and Transition support. We firmly believe in consumer control and self-direction, ensuring that individuals with disabilities are the foremost authorities on their needs and aspirations.
Position Summary: Reporting to the PCA Manager, the PCA Scheduler plays a crucial role in coordinating consumer evaluations and re-evaluations. This position also provides essential administrative and data entry support to facilitate the daily operations of the clinical team. We are looking for candidates who are genuinely passionate about supporting others and are committed to the philosophy of Independent Living.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule initial evaluations and re-evaluations for consumers with nursing staff.
- Perform data entry into management systems and Excel.
- Collaborate with PCA and clinical teams to process consumer documentation.
- Monitor and track the status of evaluations.
- Send faxes to Home Health Agencies (HHAs) when a 485 form is required and follow up as necessary.
- Fax documentation to medical offices for authorization of PCA services.
- Conduct follow-up calls to medical offices to ensure authorization has been received.
- Serve as a knowledgeable resource for staff and consumers.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent, with at least two years of administrative experience.
- Familiarity with Independent Living philosophy and prior experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
- Bilingual candidates (English and Spanish) are preferred.
- Access to reliable transportation is required.
- Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel and database management.
- Ability to effectively plan and organize work tasks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
