Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at Leidos. As an Electrical Systems Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing electrical systems for various FAA buildings and structures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement electrical system designs for commercial, industrial, and government facilities.
  • Conduct on-site surveys to gather data and develop detailed reports.
  • Generate sketches and drawings to illustrate proposed electrical system installations.
  • Test and analyze power systems to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering staff and other personnel to resolve design and implementation issues.
  • Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams to develop and implement electrical system designs.
  • Prepare construction drawings and specifications for electrical system installations.
  • Manage and coordinate construction project activities to meet milestones and deadlines.
  • Perform internal design reviews of FAA-designed power projects.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in designing electrical distribution systems for commercial, industrial, and government facilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and AUTOCAD.
  • Ability to obtain Public Trust Clearance.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of FAA Unstaffed Infrastructure Sustainment (UIS) facilities.
  • Knowledge of FAA Corporate Work Plan (CWP).
