Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team at Leidos. As a project lead, you will be responsible for planning and designing activities to support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) facility modernization projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop project plans, project scopes, schedules, costs, and resource requirements
  • Develop drawings, specifications, and risk management documents in coordination with facility stakeholders
  • Coordinate with facility stakeholders from Technical Operations and Air Traffic organizations
  • Manage and participate in on-site cutovers, testing, and restoration of facilities
  • Prepare, maintain, and provide periodic updates of project to team, management, and stakeholders
  • Perform internal design reviews of FAA designed engineering projects
  • Track and reconcile and coordinate closure of Joint Acceptance Inspections (JAI) and Contractor Acceptance Inspections (CAI) on all assigned projects
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and 4-8 years of prior relevant experience or Master's with 2-6 years of prior relevant experience
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Power Point, and Engineering Scheduling tools and applications
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD / MicroStation or similar tools
  • Ability to effectively communicate in written and verbal form
  • Ability to work independently in a large Engineering Organization
  • Basic knowledge of multiple disciplines regarding their general requirements for typical standard types of projects
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance and pass a drug screening
Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge of National Electric Code (NEC), National Fire Protection Assoc (NFPA) standards, National Airspace System Equipment Tower
  • Knowledge of OSHA and general construction and electrical safety standards
  • Knowledge of NAS facilities such as ASR, ATCT, VOR, ARSR, RCAG
