Position Overview:

The Environmental Services Lead is responsible for supervising and managing the housekeeping team while ensuring a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene within the facility. This role requires advanced skills and expertise in maintaining a safe, sanitary, and visually appealing environment, free from unpleasant odors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily cleaning operations in patient areas, nursing stations, workspaces, hallways, lounges, storage rooms, laboratories, restrooms, offices, and other designated areas, adhering to the established protocols of the Environmental Services Department.
  • Act as a resource and role model for staff, providing guidance and support in troubleshooting and resolving issues as they arise.
  • Ensure that all patient and non-patient areas are cleaned according to established guidelines, including washing, dusting, mopping, and vacuuming floors, windows, fixtures, and furniture.
  • Manage the collection and disposal of soiled linens and waste, ensuring compliance with infection control procedures and safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities and report any maintenance needs to the appropriate department.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in environmental services within a healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and safety protocols.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills relevant to the role.
  • Possession of a Hospital Fire and Life Safety Card (for Los Angeles City Employees).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a leadership role.
  • Bilingual capabilities.

Compensation: Minimum - $21.00 | Maximum - $27.03
