Job Title: Principal Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer to join our team at Synergis. As a Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the architecture roadmap for applications and integrations, leading the development and build out of specific products, and reviewing business context for solutions to company challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement architecture roadmaps for applications and integrations
  • Lead the development and build out of specific products
  • Review business context for solutions to company challenges
  • Initiate meetings with senior management to gain a clear understanding of business drivers and functional requirements
  • Lead design and architecture discussions for IT platforms
  • Direct the identification and recommendation of appropriate solutions, upgrades, replacements, or decommissioning options
  • Communicate the architecture to stakeholders and collaborate with domain architects
  • Lead architecture, design, and code reviews with engineering teams
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to lead engineers and the technical team

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, related field, or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years' experience in software engineering & technology
  • Proven technical leadership and skills in creating, leading, and implementing customer-facing tools and/or custom enterprise systems at large enterprise scale
  • Experience running high throughput low latency user-facing microservices
  • Experience with programming languages- Java EE, latest features leveraging functional programming
  • Experience with front end development, testing, and design system usage
  • Experience in BigData and NoSQL technologies like Cassandra, Big Table, or equivalent
  • Extensive knowledge around various data integration patterns against databases (inbound and outbound) to solve for real-time, and batch workloads
  • Experience with cloud computing on at least one of major providers (Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure)
  • Excellent oral and written communication

Preferred Experience:

  • Master's degree in Engineering or related field
  • Expertise in Data structures, Object-oriented programming, functional programming, cloud Technologies
  • Experience in building cloud native microservices using Spring Boot or equivalent
  • Experience in performance engineering, destructive testing methodologies and tools
  • Experience in designing and running A/B Tests and analyze the Key metric
  • Experience in writing SQL to get analytical data from Azure Synapse or equivalent OLAP databases

Compensation:

The compensation range for this position is $150,000 - $160,000 annually (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
