Electrical/Mechanical Technician

Solventum is seeking a skilled Electrical/Mechanical Technician to join our team in Meriden, CT. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical and mechanical systems, as well as performing preventive and predictive maintenance on production equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical systems, including control components, I/O, PLC devices, and network systems.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production equipment, including web handling production equipment, ultrasonic welders, pleaters, pumps, heat exchangers, and building HVAC systems.
  • Document work in maintenance tracking systems and develop standard work for maintenance activities.
  • Perform basic welding, machining, and fabrication tasks using shop equipment, power tools, and precision measurement instruments.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of three years of mechanical, electrical, or mechatronic work experience in a private, public, government, or military environment.
  • Ability to work rotating weekends, overtime, or holidays as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Possess or be in the last six months of pursuing a two-year technical degree or certificate program in an engineering or maintenance-related field.
  • Possess good documentation skills and can read and understand electrical/mechanical prints.
  • Basic understanding of predictive/preventative maintenance and condition monitoring techniques.
