Behavioral Health Care Specialist

Serenity at Summit New England is seeking a full-time Behavioral Health Technician to join its team in Haverhill, MA. The successful candidate will work with adults undergoing treatment for mental health and/or substance abuse.

Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for:
- Assisting with the supervision of patients' daily activities
- Ensuring patients follow clinical schedules and communicating any issues to the treatment team
- Transporting clients as needed (valid driver's license required)
- Conducting vehicle and client safety checks before transportation
- Performing continuous facility rounds to ensure overall safety
- Seeking out contraband and reporting suspicions or findings immediately
- Maintaining a supportive environment that upholds patient rights and facility rules
- Communicating and resolving housekeeping duties and building maintenance
- Preparing rooms and common areas for patient admissions and discharges
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you must possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Current CPR certification and willingness to obtain additional certifications (Verbal De-Escalation, HIPAA, HIV/AIDS, Incident Reporting, Infection Control, Overdose Prevention, Self-Administration of Medications)
- Ability to work as a team member with strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to adapt to changing department needs under stressful conditions
- Knowledge of TJC standards within the Department and adherence to State and Federal Statutes Regarding Patient Confidentiality Laws
- Ability to complete Harassment and Discrimination training and adhere to Corporate Integrity and Compliance Program guidelines
