Role Overview:
Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), the Nurse Technician plays a vital role in providing personalized care to patients, helping them achieve optimal wellness. This position requires collaboration with team members and a commitment to shared goals. Responsibilities include performing essential clinical procedures and non-clinical support tasks necessary for patient care.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. required, along with enrollment in a board-certified nursing program. Candidates must provide transcripts showing completion of Fundamentals of Nursing from an accredited institution and maintain good standing with their nursing program.
- Certifications: BLS certification is required within one month of hire.
- Physical Requirements: The role involves regular lifting, pushing, and pulling of up to 50 pounds, as well as prolonged standing and walking. Candidates must possess the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to fulfill job duties.
- Preferred Experience: Experience as an EMT, Paramedic, or in previous patient care roles is advantageous.
- Preferred Certifications: Certifications such as Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Certified Patient Care Technician (CPCT), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), or Advanced Unlicensed Assistant (AUA) in Missouri are preferred.
