Job Title: Core Lab Supervisor

At KA Recruiting Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Core Lab Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our laboratory operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the technical operations of the day and evening shifts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Orient, evaluate, and document the competency of testing personnel to ensure they meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain departmental policies and procedures, including quality control, performance improvement, and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with the Laboratory Director to coordinate the laboratory Quality Improvement Program and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collect and analyze data to monitor high-volume or high-impact processes prone to error, and prepare reports to inform decision-making.
  • Manage departmental expenses and productivity within budget constraints, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Supervise employee schedules, approve timesheets, and monitor PTO to ensure adequate staffing and minimize downtime.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Biological, Medical Technology, or Physical Science, or equivalent examination.
  • One year of laboratory training from an accredited program if the Bachelor's degree is not in Medical Technology.
  • Four years of laboratory testing experience in a high complexity environment, with six years preferred.
  • Two years of experience in developing, implementing, and coordinating a Quality Improvement Program, preferred.
