Job Overview

Position Summary:

The National FFA Organization is seeking enthusiastic individuals to serve as hosts for distinguished corporate and individual contributors during the National FFA convention. A dedicated team of eight to ten college or graduate-level volunteers will engage with high-profile donors to ensure a memorable and enjoyable experience throughout the event.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transport donors to and from the airport and convention venues.
  • Provide guided tours of convention facilities, including the fairgrounds and convention center.
  • Explain various competitive events and assist FFA staff with Foundation activities.
  • Accompany donors to general sessions and other important events.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional interpersonal skills and a solid understanding of the National FFA convention's activities. All travel expenses, including transportation, meals, and accommodation, will be covered. Hosts are expected to arrive in Indianapolis prior to the convention and assist with Foundation-related tasks throughout the event.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and listening skills.
  • Experience interacting with a diverse range of individuals.
  • Commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
  • Proficient in time management and multitasking.

  • Adaptable and professional in dynamic situations.
  • Energetic and proactive approach to tasks.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma is required.
  • Some college education or relevant experience in the agricultural sector is preferred.
  • Previous involvement with FFA is essential.
  • Experience as a state FFA officer is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of the agricultural industry or agricultural education is beneficial.
  • Experience with youth-based or alumni organizations is a plus.
