We are seeking a seasoned professional for the role of Clinical Outsourcing Manager within our Development Business Operations division. This position offers the chance to leverage your expertise in category management, sourcing, and contracting specifically for clinical outsourcing related to global Phase 1b-Phase 3 clinical trials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the comprehensive life cycle of vendor management, including vendor selection, RFI, RFP, and contracting processes.
  • Monitor vendor performance and manage change orders, ensuring effective closeout of clinical agreements with a focus on Clinical Research Organizations (CRO).
  • Collaborate in a matrix environment with Senior Management and cross-functional teams to drive project success.

Core Competencies:

  • Delivery Excellence: Formulate global clinical development vendor strategies, manage contract activities, and ensure compliance with sourcing strategies.
  • Strategic Thinking: Analyze complex data to provide actionable recommendations and influence vendor selection.

  • Problem Solving: Address issues from identification to resolution, ensuring operational efficiency.
  • Influence and Partnership: Engage with clinical operations leadership to enhance sourcing strategies and maintain partnerships.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant experience with a BA or MS in a related field; MBA or JD preferred.
  • PMP/CPSM certification or equivalent is a plus.
  • Proven expertise in the end-to-end sourcing and contracting process.
  • Strong understanding of the clinical research process and regulatory environment.
  • Financial acumen to analyze complex budgets.
