About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Director of Search and Evaluation to join our team at Teva Pharmaceutical Industries. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on our company's growth and success.

The Senior Director of Search and Evaluation will be responsible for identifying and evaluating external innovation opportunities to augment our discovery, early and late development, and commercial capabilities. This includes conducting due diligence activities, assembling teams of internal specialists, and communicating the merits of potential investment opportunities to ensure alignment with our long-term portfolio strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively scout external innovation opportunities to enhance our discovery, development, and commercial capabilities.
  • Conduct due diligence activities to evaluate the potential of external innovation opportunities.
  • Assemble teams of internal specialists to support the evaluation and due diligence process.
  • Communicate the merits of potential investment opportunities to ensure alignment with our long-term portfolio strategy.
  • Serve as a key ambassador for Teva's business development aims and objectives with biopharma and biotech companies.
  • Support deal teams to drive internal and external processes to bring deals to closure.
Requirements
  • PhD, M.D., or M.D./PhD in neuroscience or a related scientific field (e.g. biology, chemistry, pharmacology).
  • Minimum 10 years experience cumulative related to BD, R&D in biopharma and a strong understanding of the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Deal experience and solid foundation of generally accepted BD practices.
  • Strong scientific reputation in drug discovery and development.
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively with senior executive teams.
  • History of building internal/external relationships, demonstrating cultural sensitivity and awareness.
  • Extensive experience in pharmaceutical R&D, demonstrating international experience in multiple cultures and drug discovery / clinical environments.
  • Ability to think critically, creatively and to anticipate and solve problems.
  • Ability to navigate and be successful in a fast-paced, highly-matrixed work environment.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, able to influence internal and external stakeholders.
